Rude, disruptive, destructive or disrespectful behavior to patrons, volunteers or staff will not be tolerated.

House Management reserves the right to remove any patron whose behaviour is deemed to be disruptive or disrespectful.

All bartenders are Smart Serve certified and reserve the right to refuse service to patrons.

Photography or videography is not permitted during live show or film screenings except by authorized personnel and/or accredited members of the press.

Media attending events are required to sign in at Box Office on arrival.

All children 13 and under MUST be accompanied by an individual 14 or older in order to attend any event at the Regent.

What are Box Office hours?

Throughout the year, our box office is open 1 hr before all showtimes.

During July and August we have special summer ours when the theatre is open 10 until 10.

Tickets to movies and live shows are available for purchase online 24/7.

How do I buy a ‘blue’ seat on the accessible terrace?

There are 24 ‘blue’ accessible seats available for purchase for all events. These seats are reserved for those with mobility limitations and must be purchased in person or by phone.

Complementary companion seating is available for those who require assistance.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Our box office and concession only accept debit or credit for purchases online or in person.
We regret that as a volunteer run organization we do not have the resources to maintain cash on premises.

Where do I park?

Street parking is available on Main Street and surrounding streets. Free parking is available in the municipal lot on Mary Street.

Where do I eat before a show?

Prince Edward County prides itself on the excellence of its hospitality industry. There are numerous pubs, breweries, wineries, restaurants and hotels.
We encourage you to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. And tell your server you’re coming to a show, so that you make sure you get here in time.

Is reserved seating available?

All movies are General Admission, first-come-first-serve unless otherwise specified. Seating for live events varies please see individual event listings for details.

ACCESSIBILITY

The Regent Theatre is fully compliant with Ontario’s accessibility laws and standards.

  • The lobby, concession, washrooms and accessible seating terraces are fully wheelchair accessible.
  • Ample barrier-free space is located upon entry to the theatre in our accessible seating terrace.
  • Complimentary companion seating in the accessible seating terrace is offered to those requiring accompaniment for movies and live shows.* Some exceptions may apply in circumstances where the event is a rental.
  • Accessible seating on the accessible seating terraces is indicated on the seating map by a blue square. These tickets must be purchased in person or by phone.
  • Guide dogs and service animals are permitted on the accessible seating terrace. If it is not readily apparent that the animal is being used because of a person’s disability the person with the disability must be prepared to show a letter from a doctor or nurse confirming that it required for reasons relating to their disability.
  • Thursday afternoon films are offered with Open Captions whenever available.
  • Assistive hearing devices are available on request at the box office for all movies.
  • Ear plugs & booster seats are available at box office upon request.
  • The front doors are equipped with an automated door opener, and both our Concession area and Box Office are barrier-free.
  • A first aid kit is located behind the concession.

Customers with special requirements may wish to email in advance boxoffice@theregenttheatre.org to notify our staff of their needs.

For general admission events patrons are welcome to select or move to a seat they find most comfortable. Seating priority will always be given to those with demonstrable accessibility needs on the accessible seating terraces.

ACCESSIBILITY TERRACE

In 2022, The Regent Theatre added accessible seating terraces to the main auditorium. The Regent now accommodates up to 26 wheelchairs and/or patrons with mobility access needs for comfortable entertainment experiences.
